who it's for

The library is designed with 2 groups in mind.

Junior lawyers and law students — step-by-step guides and real resources (scripts, templates, habit-building frameworks) tried and tested by experienced lawyers. Not theory. Practical stuff you can use straight away.

Partners, supervisors and L&D professionals — give your team and mentees the right tools to learn how to approach legal practice, build good habits early, and accelerate their careers.

Worried it won't apply to your practice area? It will. Around 90% of the library is about how to practise law — not what kind of law you practise.

what people say

I've been following Jason's guides for years and have been recommending them to all junior lawyers. They're direct, practical and very actionable — the kind of information that all lawyers wish they had known from day one but which senior lawyers often overlook.
Han Yong · Special Counsel, Lander & Rogers
Few mentors or coffee chats could produce the tangible benefits of having access to Jason's Junior Lawyers Field Guide. It directly addresses countless questions I encountered prior to and during my clerkships — a simple way to be proactive about understanding the practice of law.
Nick Devlin · Law Student, Australian National University
Jason understands something a lot of people miss: we assume that juniors already know things they've never been taught. That's exactly the gap these guides fill.
Angela Luu · Head of Client Operations and Digital Adoption, Wotton Kearney
The guides, templates, scripts, and checklists make the Field Guide genuinely useful in day to day practice, rather than something you simply read and put aside. It gives junior lawyers practical tools to become more confident and organised much earlier in their careers.
Claudio Klaus · Associate, Northview Law
Jason's comprehensive tips and shortcuts for Microsoft Word have made a world of difference for doing contract review.
Rachel Chan · Associate, David Lim & Partners LLP
After reading the guides, I find myself better prepared when I come across the situations they cover. That confidence has made me more informed in, and improved the quality of, my day-to-day work.
Vinisha Patel · Contracts Specialist, Insite Energy
The Field Guide is a fantastic, comprehensive resource containing up-to-date advice and useful document templates to assist any junior lawyer looking to begin their career.
Megan Clipson · Law Student, University of Lincoln

about me

Jason Feng

Jason Feng

I'm Jason Feng. As a first-generation lawyer, I felt that law school didn't really prepare me for legal practice. So for the past 6 years, I've been writing actionable how-to guides to help junior lawyers develop their careers and build their confidence.

I've worked at leading law firms and companies in Australia and Dubai, and have presented training sessions to legal teams of all sizes. I still work as a lawyer — and I still write new guides as I learn and experience new things in my career.

The library is everything I've written, in one place, updated as I go. It's the resource I wished I'd had when I started out. You can also check out the free how-to guides on my website.
